Gameclick Basics
What is Gameclick?
Gameclick is a dedicated Video Game Rental & Sales website based in Limerick, Ireland.
Is Gameclick rental available to those outside the 26 counties?
Yes, our rental service is available in the 32 counties but not the UK mainland.
Where is Gameclick based?
Gameclick was originally based in Limerick but has now been amalgamated with the operations of our new owners Gamesnash, based in Meath
How does web based video game rental work?
Its quite simple, you join up, choose a list of games known as a GamesQ, you prioritise the order in which you would like to receive the games and thats about it from your point of view just sit back and wait for your games to drop through the letterbox. You will promptly receive the first available game from your list. There are no delivery costs, no contracts and no late fees. You will receive your game in a customised 2-Way envelope that you will also use to return the game once you're finsihed.
What if you dont have the game I want?
Then let us know and we will source them as quickly as possible. We are a fledgling operation and as such our inventory is expanding weekly.
What are the condition of your games like?
All our games are in excellent condition. Games are inspected before and after rental to ensure that they are playable and not damaged. If a disc is found to be damaged we have the ability to repair it using a professional disc repair equipment. All used games for sale will be inspected prior to dispatch. If there are issues then return the disc to us and we will send a replacement.
Are all games for rent available for sale?
Almost all, but some may not due to limited availability.
Plan Types
What type of plans do you offer?
We offer 4 different plans, 3 related to rental i.e. Silver, Gold and Platinum and 1 related to purchase i.e. Buy Only.
What does it cost?
The Buy Only is a free non-subscription plan solely for those who wish to buy games from the website and post reviews. All our rental plans offer great value starting at €9.99 our Silver plan offers members 1 game at a time with a maximum of 2 games per month/billing period. Our Gold plan at €14.99 offers members 1 game at a time with an unlimited no. of rents per month. Finally the Platinum package is geared toward heavy users and offer 2 games at a time unlimited per month for €22.99.
Is there a Free Trial Period available?
We have decided to withdraw the free trial period offer previously offered by Gameclick and to replace it with an offer of 20% off your first months subscription. In practice three things happen with free trials, 1) The games that are sent out on free trials are not available to paying members. 2) A large amount of people sign up for free trials with no intention of taking out a permanent subscription and 3) The rental company is inclined to prioritise those on trials with the hope of getting them to sign up permanently. Therefore customers only see the best service levels whilst they are on free trials at the expense of those customers paying monthly subscriptions. Furthermore those paying customers have their library depleted by members on free trials who have no intention of joining up and contributing to the library build. We offer an introductory discount and the facilitiy to cancel the subscription at any time and to avail of a proportinate refund for unused days during the first month. This allows customers to try the service for a low fee with the option to back out at any time and only pay for the day(s) used. A one week trial can cost as low as €2.00. We are aware that some of our competitors offer free trials but we are also aware that by taking measures such as this we offer a far superior service level to our customers.
What is the billing period?
The billing period is monthly following on from any free trial period.
What are the payment options?
For now its either a Credit Card or Debit Card, typically Laser, Visa debit, Visa & Mastercard Credit Cards.
Delivery Information
Where do you deliver to?
For the rental aspect we deliver to all of Ireland (32 counties) For sales we currently cover the UK and Ireland.
Do I have to pay for delivery?
No, delivery is pre-paid both ways for game rental. Delivery is also free for game sales.
Who will deliver my games?
An Post will be responsible for all postal deliveries in the Republic of Ireland for Game Rental & Sales. Royal Mail will be responsible for mail once it is within Northern Ireland. For Sales outside of Ireland we may use different couriers depending on the size of the delivery and the destination address.
How long will it take for my game to arrive?
Please allow up to 5 days for your games to arrive. While we anticipate delivery within a day in the Republic of Ireland there may be extenuating circumstances and delays within the postal service. Deliveries to Northern Ireland and the UK will normally take between 2 and 4 days but again may be longer.
What if my game does not arrive?
As stated before give it a reasonable amount of time then if there is still no sign of the game contact us and we will investigate further. If it is a genuine case of a game going missing in the post we will dispatch another game.
What if I send back a game but you dont receive it?
We will investigate and ascertain what happened to the item in the post, if you have a certificate of posting then send it to us to support your claim. We will dispatch another game if we are satisfied that there was a genuine loss of the item by the postal service.
What if a game is damaged in the post?
If it was damaged in the post then it is our responsibility and not the customers.
Game Store
What is Game Store?
Game Store is a sales section of the website that offers members the ability to purchase titles.
Do I need a monthly subscription membership to buy games?
You don't have to have a paid monthly subscription to avail of the Game Store feature. The 'Buy Only' account option is designed for those who wish to only purchase games.
How much is postage for games purchased?
Delivery is free in Ireland & the UK.
Managing your Subscription
How do I cancel my subscription?
Simply go to the 'members area' and cancel from there. Return any outstading games and that's the process complete. You can re-activate your account at any time.
Can I get a refund if i cancel part way through the monthly cycle.
Unfortunately not, you are advised to cancel at least 5 days before your next billing cycle date and to ensure all outstanding games are returned.
Can I upgrade to another plan?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade from your present plan. Any change to your plan will be implemented at the start of your next billing period.
Can I revise my subscription details?
Yes you can change all your details in the members area including changing your payment card details.
